Scarborough is located 7 miles South of Portland Maine with a population just under 20,000 people. The community boasts several Maine beaches including Higgins Beach, Pine Point and Prouts Neck which was the subject for artist Winslow Homer.The settlement of Scarborough was one of the earliest made on the New England coast and was incorporated in 1658.

Scarborough, Maine is home to The Black Point Inn which is included in the National Registry of Historic Hotels of America. It is also home to Scarborough Marsh which is the state of Maine’s largest saltwater tidal marsh encompassing approx. 3,100 acres.

Cabela’s, World’s Foremost Outfitters, is the newest business to be located in Scarborough and is bringing in visitors from all over New England.
