Cape Elizabeth is located 5 miles southeast of Portland Maine, along the Southern Maine coast with a population of approximately 10,000 people. Extending 12 miles into open ocean, rimmed by craggy shores and sandy beaches, Cape Elizabeth marks the entrance to spectacular Casco Bay. Cape Elizabeth is also home to the Portland Headlight, the world’s most photographed lighthouse, located in historic Fort Williams State Park. This greater Portland community (originally a part of Portland) has approximately 550 residents per square mile. It is the birthplace of legendary movie director, John Ford, the childhood home of Joan Benoit Samuelson, the first winner of the Women’s Olympic Marathon, and has the longest growing season in Maine. Cape Elizabeth is home to some beautiful real estate and Portland Headlight is always worth a visit!
